Cellular Glass Engineering SA has installed all presently available calculating programs for the use of FOAMGLAS® as interactive online programs in agreement with Pittsburgh Corning Europe SA, the producer of protected brand FOAMGLAS®. They are available for interested building owners and planners as services free of charge. Cellular Glass Engineering SA. guarantees technical accuracy of the technical contents in principle. The interpretation of results in individual case however always rests with the responsible planner.
The programs enable concrete dimensionings and objective comparisons between different structural solutions and therefore contribute to an economical, ecologically beneficial and solid building method.
The range of problem solutions is being extended according to needs in practice and are currently adapted to new insights. The English and French version of programs is added stepwise.
The German-language programs also explicate the specific technical topic in a deepening accompanying text besides the concrete content of dimensioning. Insofar, the German contents of program also features a certain schoolbook character for each case.
These deepening technical information are are not to be found in the english programs. The accompanying text here concentrates on the three crucial informations:
- Purpose of this program
- Input data
- Output data
The user is further expected to handle the fuse protections installed in the programs error messages due to inputs beyond the valid bandwidth and the like which are displayed in German for each case. This concession is justifiable because the competent program user normally understands such instructions.
